This announcement is made pursuant to Rule 13.09(2) of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. (the "Company") announces that, based on the Company's preliminary statistics, as of 31 March 2012, total power generation of the Company and its subsidiaries (the "Group") amounted to 48.2555 billion kWh, representing an increase of approximately 4.83% when compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Total on-grid power generation of the Group amounted to 45.5071 billion kWh, representing an increase of approximately 4.93% when compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. The increase in power generation of the Group was mainly attributable to an increase in capacity of the operational generating units of the Group and an increase in average utilization hours of the Group's coal-fired power generation units.
