ANNOUNCEMENT OF PROXY STATEMENT

Signet Jewelers Limited ('Signet') announces that as from today the Proxy Statement incorporating the Notice of the 2011 Annual General Meeting is available on its website - www.signetjewelers.com/shareholders. The 2011 Annual General Meeting will be held at Hilton Akron/Fairlawn, 3180 W. Market Street, Akron, Ohio, 44333, United States at 11:00am (EDT) on June 16, 2011.

The Proxy Statement was filed with United States Securities and Exchange Commission today. Additionally, a copy of the Proxy Statement, and the form of proxy and form of direction for use at the 2011 Annual General Meeting, have also been submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and will shortly be available for inspection at: (www.hemscott.com/nsm.do).

At the 2011 Annual General Meeting, it is proposed that Signet's bye-laws are amended.
