Cluff Gold PLC22 September 2006 22 September 2006 CLUFF GOLD PLC Encouraging infill drill results from Angovia Gold Project, Cote d'Ivoire Cluff Gold Plc ("Cluff Gold" or "the Company") today announces more assayresults from the ongoing reverse circulation ("RC") drill programme at theAngovia Gold Project ("Angovia" or "the Project") in Cote d'Ivoire. Furtherresults have now been received from Prospects AN2, 2, 3 and 4. Highlights: • 9,200 metres of drilling completed to date (up from 5,700 metres as at 17th August 2006) • Resource update underway • Best intercepts: • ARC141 intersects 20m @ 1.79 g/t Au • ARC152 intersects 2m @ 33.85g/t Au • Mineralisation remains open along strike and down dip of the four satellite deposits drill tested to date. The infill drilling is being done at 25 metre centres between sections in orderto confirm continuity of mineralisation. It is planned that the ore from these depositscould be trucked and treated in the recently purchased heap leach processingplant, located centrally in the Angovia permit area. Historical data fromCOGEMA's previous mining activities demonstrates that heap leach recoveries ofup to 80% are achievable for the near surface oxide ore using the existingplant. The vertical depth of oxidation in the drilled out areas is 70 metres. Theunderlying sulphides below the satellite ore bodies, and the areas which wereformerly mined for oxides by COGEMA, will be investigated in due course. Themineralisation remains open along strike and down dip of the four satellitedeposits drill tested to date. Douglas Chikohora, Technical Director of Cluff Gold plc, comments, "We arepleased with these latest infill assay results which continue to confirm thecontinuity of mineralisation on the Angovia project and demonstrate good goldgrades. We await the results of the current resource update which we hope tocomplete in early October.'' Yaoure, Cote d'Ivoire The Mt. Yaoure permit is located 40km northwest of Yamoussoukro, the politicalcapital of Cote d'Ivoire, and covers a surface area of 534km(2). The licencearea includes the Angovia gold mine which operated between 1998 and 2003. Themine reportedly produced over 180,000 ounces of gold during this period by heapleaching some 2 million tonnes of oxide material. The Cote d'Ivoire governmenthas issued a certificate to CMA, a subsidiary of COGEMA, the French uraniummining group, evidencing that it has complied with the work prescribed by themining regulations relating to the protection of the environment and therestoration of the part of the licence area covered by the Angovia gold mine. The infrastructure in the area is good and includes a hydroelectric dam sixkilometres from the Angovia mine site.
