London, 17 February 2010: Imagination Technologies Group plc ('Imagination', LSE: IMG, 'the Group'), a leading multimedia chip technologies company, is today hosting a briefing for analysts and investors on its stand at MWC in Barcelona. No new material information will be made available.

The briefing will provide information on the Group's products on display including Imagination's POWERVR technology, which is the standard for mobile graphics acceleration, with more than 200m products already shipped.

Imagination is showing its extensive range of POWERVR visual IP (graphics, video and display), ENSIGMA communication IP (broadcast demodulation and Wi-Fi) and META embedded processor IP for SoCs (System on Chip). These uniquely low power and highly scalable technologies enable Imagination's partners to lead the market for low power, high performance mobile devices. Imagination is displaying a large number of such OEM partner devices containing technologies from Imagination, including many of the most iconic phones on the market today.

The latest POWERVR SGX graphics technologies on display are enabling advanced graphics acceleration on leading applications processors powering mobile phones, netbooks, set-top boxes and more. These are complemented by POWERVR VGX, an ultra-small OpenVG 1.1 core for low cost, high volume mobile devices and POWERVR multi-standard HD video decode, encode and display enhancement technologies driving high quality multimedia and Web 2.0 experiences.

The latest ENSIGMA multi-standard communications solutions are being demonstrated featuring low power Wi-Fi internet connectivity as well as broadcast TV including ATSC, radio and mobile TV demodulation. META AXD audio processing solutions can also be experienced delivering efficient, low power decoding of all major audio codecs, including 5.1 surround, as well as post-processing effects.

Imagination is also demonstrating in a dedicated area on the stand a selection of state-of-the-art applications from key ecosystem partners, displaying the latest solutions for advanced user interfaces, navigation, gaming and Flash players that take advantage of Imagination's technologies. With more than 16,000 members, the POWERVR Insider programme continues to grow rapidly, and is a key feature of Imagination's expanding ecosystem communities.

Throughout MWC many of Imagination's licensees and their OEM customers are showcasing products using Imagination's IP on their stands.
