AMEC completes acquisition of leading US engineering and environmental services company MACTEC

AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, announces today that it has completed the acquisition of MACTEC, a leading US engineering and environmental services company. As previously announced, the cash consideration was US$280 million.

A small MACTEC subsidiary, MACTEC Development Corporation, will be run as a standalone entity, with its existing management, until final regulatory approval is obtained from the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. This is expected in due course.
