Energetix Group plc14 January 2008 Press Release 14 January 2008 Energetix Group plc ("Energetix" or "the Group") Energetix Group and E.ON UK to collaborate on development of Genlec microgeneration units Energetix Group plc (AIM: EGX), a leading developer of new and sustainablealternative energy products, is pleased to announce that its subsidiaryEnergetix Genlec Limited ("Genlec" or "the Company") has signed an agreementwith E.ON UK PLC ("E.ON"), one of the UK's largest integrated power and gascompanies, to develop and deploy Genlec's micro combined heat and power(micro-CHP) technology in UK homes. The companies intend to collaborate on the development of a fully integratedmicro-CHP system, incorporating Genlec's Organic Rankine Cycle unit that can befitted into UK homes. The compact and lightweight nature of the Genlec unitmakes it a leading contender as the world's first truly wall-mounted micro-CHPproduct, similar in size to current gas boiler designs. The highly efficient new units would be able to power a wide range of UK homesand would also help to lower carbon emissions in the UK and could reduce userenergy bills by around £150 per annum. Under the agreement, E.ON will fund the testing and evaluation of a Genlecmicro-CHP system at the Energetix facility in Capenhurst Technology Park,Cheshire. The testing will be conducted in accordance with the BritishStandards Institute's Publicly Available Specification 67 - the UK's draftperformance specification document for micro-CHP test methodology - and will beverified by independent experts EA Technology. The evaluation, which is scheduled for completion in the first half of 2008,will outline the energy savings achieved during testing of the Genlec micro-CHPsystem, assess its commercial value and appraise its economic potential. E.ON, through its Sustainable Energy Solutions team, is an official supplier forPhase 2 of the Government's Low Carbon Buildings Programme. Under theProgramme, public sector organisations and charities could obtain a grant of upto 35% off the cost of buying and installing small wind turbines, biomassboilers and ground source heat pumps.
