Meggitt PLC11 May 2006 For Immediate Release 11 May 2006 Meggit plc AGM STATEMENT Sir Colin Terry, KBE, CB, Chairman of Meggitt PLC, commented at the AGM today: "2005 was another very successful year for Meggitt with revenues up 29% andprofit for the year up 26%, bolstered by the strong recovery in civil aerospaceand a full year contribution from Dunlop Aerospace. The Group's end markets arenow well balanced with 42% of 2005 revenues coming from civil aerospace, 41%from military markets and the remaining 17% from industrial markets andelectronics. We have started 2006 well with the outlook remaining very positive and in linewith our preliminary statement in March 2006. Prospects for civil aerospace areexcellent, with large jet production expected to increase by more than 20% in2006 and more than 10% in 2007, and a continuing strong aftermarket. Militarydemand remains healthy. As expected, trading in our electronics businesses (lessthan 12% of Group turnover) is likely to be flat for the year as a whole butreturning to growth in the second half, as medical customers complete theirdestocking in the first half of the year. Overall, the order book is very robust and has increased by a further 7% betweenDecember 2005 and April 2006. The Board remains confident that the Group willdeliver further strong growth in 2006, in line with expectations."
