AGM statement
At today's AGM of UBC Media Group (AIM: UBC, 'the Company'), the multimedia content and services company, the Chairman stated that trading continues in line with the Board's expectations.
He commented that the mixture of content and technology, so well encapsulated by the rapid growth in demand for iPhone apps, continues to be a key element of the Group's development. UBC is investing in building a network of radio station iPhone Apps and in creating iPhone Apps for advertising clients.
The initial statistics from the first apps produced are encouraging. For example, nearly 4% of national station talkSPORT's listeners downloaded the station's app in the first eight weeks. 40% are using it at least once a week with 627,000 listening sessions recorded since launch, with an average of seven minutes each. UBC has carried advertising on its app network from launch.
UBC has also completed iPhone apps for Tourism Australia and Mercedes Benz
All resolutions at the AGM were passed.
