Bellway PLC13 January 2006 BELLWAY PLC AGM STATEMENT FRIDAY 13TH JANUARY 2006 At the Annual General Meeting of Bellway p.l.c. to be held at 12 noon inNewcastle upon Tyne on Friday, 13th January 2006, the Chairman, Mr H C Dawe willmake the following statement. "Although we have been greatly encouraged by the level of sales achieved on a year to date basis, until the strength of the spring selling season is known, it is difficult to predict how the housing market will unfold. However, whilst we started the financial year with carry forward sales slightly below the previous year's record levels, we have now secured almost 75% of this current year's target. This strong position gives the Board confidence of achieving its expectations for the year. A trading update providing further detail will be issued on Friday, 3rd February prior to entering our close period. The Group's Interim Results, for the half year ending 31st January 2006, will be announced to the Stock Exchange on Tuesday, 4th April."
