UBC Media Group PLC03 August 2007 3rd August 2007 UBC Media Group plc Chairman's AGM Statement • Sale of Classic Gold completed successfully • Cash balance at 30 June £5.9million • Year-on-year revenues for Q1 up by 19.8% • Strong start to the year in advertising sales • Development of Cliq music downloading service on track At the Annual General Meeting of UBC Media Group plc to be held in London at11am today, the Chairman, John Hodson, will update shareholders on the currentperformance of the Company. John Hodson will issue the following statement: "I am pleased to report that UBC has made an encouraging start to the newfinancial year and is performing in line with expectations. UBC completed itssale of the Classic Gold Digital network of radio stations in June. ExcludingClassic Gold Digital, revenues for the Group in the first quarter were ahead19.8% year-on-year. In particular, our radio advertising business tradedstrongly, with revenues in the period up 30% year-on-year, although the radioadvertising market remains volatile. The Company's cash balance at the end ofJune was £5.9 million. We are making good progress towards the launch later this year of Cliq, ourservice allowing listeners to buy music directly from radio stations. Inaddition to our deal with Imagination Technologies announced on the 25th June,we also expect that the service will be available on most mobile phones in theUK. This will be via a Java software application that is currently undergoingdevelopment and testing. This extension of the technology will make Cliqavailable to the vast majority of UK radio listeners from launch".
