AGM Statement

At the EMIS Group AGM being held later today the Chairman will make the following statement:

"The Board of EMIS Group, the UK leader in connected healthcare software and services, is pleased to announce that trading for the year to date is in line with the Board's expectations. As reported at the time of the 2015 Final Results, issued on 16 March 2016, the Group has strong revenue visibility, growing market shares and good momentum in its order books and pipelines. 

The Group has largely completed its previously announced cost reduction programme (principally in Secondary Care), the costs of which will be expensed in the first half, benefitting the Group's results in the second half of the year.

The Board is also pleased to report a number of contract wins awarded since the Final Results:

· EMIS Health Primary and Community Care, with four contracts for various community, child and clinical services;

· EMIS Care for the provision of diabetic eye screening programmes for Central and East Lancashire, North Lancashire and the Fylde coast; and

· EMIS Health Secondary Care, where a strong flow of mid to smaller sized software and services orders has been secured, in line with the Group's strategic focus.

These contract wins will start to contribute in the second half of the year and, coupled with strong pre-existing market positions across every clinical environment, they endorse EMIS Group's vision of supporting longer and healthier lives for everyone by providing integrated, excellent and innovative healthcare IT and services."
