Qonnectis plc28 June 2005 Qonnectis plc AGM Statement and Trading Update At today's AGM the Chairman of Qonnectis plc, the telematics and IT servicesprovider to the utility and business energy and water user markets, made thefollowing comments: "In the second half of the year ending 30 June 2005 the Company made significantprogress in a number of areas; joining AIM raised our profile, we won severalnew clients and we received a number of repeat orders. The Board is very pleased with the performance since flotation. As recentlyannounced, orders, enquiries and discussions with potential customers both inthe UK and overseas, have grown encouragingly and we look forward to the newfinancial year with confidence. New business wins Notable new business includes orders from: • Aquavitae, a rapidly expanding UK national water supplier which is using Qonnectis for the monitoring of water supply to their major customers; • Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council for multi utility water and energy monitoring; and • a company supplying a major retail chain with water management services. The Board is encouraged that the company's new business energy andwater clients represent a number of different sectors including local authorities, retailers, consultants and national utilities. We areparticularly pleased to have secured new business from yetanother major player in the UK water supply market. Repeat orders from existing clients: •Scottish Water has entered into an agreement with Scotrail for the provision of Qonnectis technology for water consumption monitoring at their train depots, stations and other sites; •Macau Water are continuing to roll out water management services to their key customers; •the level of orders from NHS hospitals experienced in the first half of the year was exceeded in the second half, and the gradual roll-out of Qonnectis in hospitals is continuing, with the main focus currently on Wales. Trading update Overall performance in the second half in terms of orders are expected to be inline with management expectations. Timing of receipt of these orders has meantthat shipments and sales for many of these will be recognised in the nextfinancial year beginning 1st July. The environmental product range The first field shipments and trials have begun for the iStaq-AL environmentalmonitoring solution. The initial applications are for remote river levelmonitoring for flood alerts and remote moisture level monitoring for irrigation.The full UK launch continues on schedule and will take place at the IWEXinternational water and environment exhibition in November 2005. Market profile Since flotation the company has increased its profile within the industry.Attendance at national exhibitions, strong customer case studies, and highprofile trade press coverage have all contributed towards this. Recent presscoverage includes a front page story on Qonnectis' work with the NHS in Buying &Using Utilities, the main publication for large water and energy consumers;front page coverage and an in-depth interview with Qonnectis CEO Michael Tapiain Modern Utility Management, one of the main publications for senior utilitymanagers and directors; and multiple stories in Water, Energy and Environmentand Energy Solutions, the main publications for utility business end users andenergy consultants."
