ASOS PLC11 October 2006 FOR RELEASE7.00 am11 October 2006 ASOS plc ("ASOS" or "the Company") (Leading online fashion retailer) AGM STATEMENT * ASOS.com sales up 93% for the 6 months to 30 September 2006 * 1,075,000 registered users as at 10 October 2006 (675,000 as at 11 October 2005) * Continuing investment in infrastructure to support future growth plans * Confident that the full year results will be in line with market expectations Nick Robertson, the Chief Executive, will make the following comments on currenttrading at the Annual General Meeting to be held at 11.00am today at theChartered Accountants' Hall, One Moorgate Place, London, EC2R 6EA. "I am pleased to report a strong first half performance with sales for ASOS.com93% ahead for the 6 months to 30th September 2006. This is the result of theinvestment made last year in our buying and merchandising teams and thesubsequent increase in the number of products available from 1500, 12 monthsago, to 4000 now. Encouragingly, all departments have recorded strong growthwith our branded and footwear divisions performing particularly well. As previously advised, we have continued to invest in our infrastructure in thefirst half of the year to support future growth plans. This will be reflected inthe administrative costs in the interim results to be released on 28 November2006. At this stage, despite much tougher comparables ahead (after adjusting for theimpact of the Buncefield fuel depot explosion) and the peak trading period stillto come, the board remains confident that the full year results will be in linewith market expectations."
