Davis Service Group PLC26 April 2005 26 April 2005 THE DAVIS SERVICE GROUP Chairman's AGM Statement The following statement will be read out at today's AGM by Neil Benson,Chairman: "The Group's results for the first quarter of 2005 reflect for the most part acontinuation of the trends experienced in 2004. In textile markets, the UK'sability to obtain pricing to offset imposed cost increases remains difficultwhilst Berendsen's operations continue to meet our targets. Orders forElliott's direct sale products have been disappointing, especially from thepublic sector whilst its hire and rental activities continue to plan. Overall, our view of the Group's prospects for 2005 remains unchanged from 24February when we released our 2004 preliminary results. I would like to publicly thank John Ivey for all that he has achieved for theGroup in his 32 years at Davis and Sunlight and to wish Roger Dye all the bestin his new role as Chief Executive of the Group."
