Annual General Meeting Statement and Directorate Change
appScatter Group plc (AIM: APPS), the scalable business-to-business ('B2B') Software as a Service ('SaaS') platform that allows users to distribute and manage their apps on multiple app stores around the world, will hold its Annual General Meeting ('AGM') today. At the AGM, Clive Carver, Non-Executive Chairman of appScatter, will make the following statement, highlighting the progress made so far in 2018:
Our achievements in the first 6 months of 2018 include exchanging contracts for the acquisition of Priori Data GmbH, signing new partnerships with Airpush and IronSource, and adding new products including app security scanning, APIs for mobile advertising networks such as Google AdMob and Tapcore. We have greatly enhanced our data capabilities, while also completing ISO 27001 certification, 15 months ahead of schedule.
We are pleased to announce partnership agreements with App in China and Aptoide. App in China will enable appScatter clients the ability to distribute paid apps into the top 20 Chinese mobile app stores. Aptoide, an app store with over 200 million users, will launch AppCoin Tokens (APPC): a new cryptocurrency for app developers based on the Ethereum blockchain. Both new partnerships will be integrated into the Company's platform.
As of today, appScatter tracks 1.2 billion app URLs, from 10.7 million apps and 2.9 million publishers. We can now access app data intelligence drawing on 299 billion downloads across 5 million apps, in 55 categories as well as 6 billion devices across 252 territories.
The Board believes the Company is progressing its growth strategy and is well-positioned to make the most of the significant opportunity we see before us, which enables us to look forward to the future with confidence.
Directorate Change
In addition, the Company announces that Manish Kotecha, the Company's Finance Director, has stepped down from the Board with immediate effect today and is leaving the Company to pursue other business interests. The Company has appropriate interim arrangements in place. The Board has begun the search for his replacement and an update will be shared on progress in due course.
Manish has played an important role in the development of the Company, helping to successfully IPO the Company in September 2017 and taking it through its first 10 months as a public company. Manish continues to be a supportive shareholder and the Board thanks him for his significant contribution and commitment.
As a result of Mr. Kotecha having stood down as a director of the Company with immediate effect, resolution 4 set out in the notice of the Company's annual general meeting (the "AGM") is withdrawn and will not be put to the AGM later today.
