AGM Statement
At the Annual General Meeting of Ambrian plc (the "Company") due to be held at 10.00am today it will be announced that Robert Adair, chairman, has decided the time is right for him to step down from the board. The Company has identified a successor and is finalising the terms of his appointment. Confirmation of these changes will be announced shortly.
It will also be announced that the Company intends to cancel the 20.4m ordinary shares that Ambrian PLC holds in itself.
The Board of Ambrian would like to extend its thanks to Robert for his significant contribution to the business over many years.
JP Conrad, CEO, said: "Robert has helped guide the business through a period of significant change and growth. Initially as chairman of CGM plc, when that business commenced and ultimately completed the ambitious building of a new cement plant in Mozambique, and latterly as chairman of the enlarged entity created by the merger between Ambrian Metals and CGM. We wish him the very best for the future."
