AGM STATEMENT
At today's Annual General Meeting of Webis Holdings plc, all of the tabled resolutions were duly passed and the Chairman, Mr Denham Eke, made the following statement regarding the Company's current trading position:
"I am pleased to report that the Company has traded ahead of management's expectations during the first quarter of the new financial year. Within the sportsbook, revenues from the two casinos have continued to improve and the sports betting operation has also seen a sustained increase in revenue, following our sponsorship activity at some of the UK's leading racecourses. We also launched our first sportsbook portal white-label solution in early November.
Our pari-mutuel operation, European Wagering Services, is also continuing to work on a number of areas, including further enhancements to its www.link2bet.com website. We have also recently received positive news regarding availability of additional racetrack content and the board will provide a more detailed update on this in due course
The Company anticipates announcing its interim results for the 26 weeks to 30 November 2008 in February 2009."
