AGM Statement and Trading Update

The following statement on trading will be made by KBC's Chairman, Christopher Powell-Smith, at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 14 May 2008:

"I am pleased to report that the first four months of 2008 have been very successful for KBC with continued growth in contract awards and backlog. This has been achieved against a background of very strong revenue and profits growth through the period, reflecting the continued strong demand for KBC's services.

On this basis, we believe that our financial performance for the year as a whole is likely to be significantly ahead of current market expectations."
