Smallbone PLC29 April 2005 SMALLBONE plc ("Smallbone or "the Group") AGM and EGM Statement At Smallbone plc's AGM held today Charles Smallbone Chairman and Chief Executivemade the following comments: "2004 was a hugely significant year for Smallbone the highlight of which was ourflotation on AIM raising the funding required to meet our growth plans whilstalso heightening the Group's profile. 2005 has started well and sales to date have been encouraging, for bothSmallbone and Paris Ceramics. January also saw the launch of our first new kitchen range, the "Walnut & Silver" range, for three years and the initial response from the market has beenvery favourable. Our aim of adding further product ranges is also coming tofruition and the designs and plans are already well under way for the launch oftwo new bedroom and two new bathroom ranges this Winter. We are also very pleased to announce that our roll-out programme is continuingaccording to plan. We have recently opened a new showroom in St John's Wood,London and our Glasgow showroom is on schedule to open at the beginning of July.In the US we have also recently signed a lease for a flagship New Yorkshowroom in preparation for Smallbone to re-enter the US market at the beginningof 2006 after a 15 year gap. We believe that 2005 will be a year of investment, building on the solidplatform that we developed during 2004, laying the foundations for us to achievesubstantial growth in 2006 and 2007."
