AfriAg SA secures exclusive logistics contract for Premier Spring Water in South Africa

AfriAg (AIM: AFRI), the AIM-listed agricultural value chain investing company, is pleased to announce that AfriAg (Pty) Ltd ("AfriAg SA") has secured the exclusive contract to manage the handling and distribution of Premier Spring Water's products throughout South Africa with immediate effect.

Premier Spring Water is a rapidly growing boutique water bottling and distribution company based in South Africa that supplies bottled water for key corporates in South Africa, their two largest customers being Fedics and PWC's offices in South Africa.

AfriAg announced on 30 July 2013 that it had entered into a sale and purchase agreement to acquire a 40% shareholding in AfriAg SA, a South African agri-logistics business, as the Company's first investment under its stated investment policy to invest into the growing African agriculture and logistics sector. The investment remains subject to approval by the South African regulatory authorities.

David Lenigas, Executive Chairman of AfriAg, commented:

"This management and logistics contract provides AfriAg SA with a broad network of distribution throughout South Africa which will allow the company to add additional clients to this existing broad based distribution network."
