Admission of shares to trading & Total Voting Rights
Admission of shares to trading
Further to the announcement by Tullow Oil plc on 27 January 2010 that it had placed 80,431,796 ordinary shares (with a nominal value of 10p each) in the capital of Tullow Oil plc (the "Placing Shares") at a price of 1,150 pence per Placing Share, Tullow Oil plc announces that the Placing Shares were admitted to trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange and trading on the Irish Stock Exchange today. The Placing Shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing ordinary shares of Tullow Oil plc.
Total Voting Rights
In conformity with the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, Tullow Oil plc today also announces the following:
As at the date of this announcement, the issued share capital of Tullow Oil plc consists of 884,749,772 ordinary shares (with a nominal value of 10p each) with voting rights. No ordinary shares are held in treasury.
Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Tullow Oil plc is 884,749,772
The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculation by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Tullow Oil plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
