Admission of Shares and Total Voting Rights

Development Securities announces that, further to its announcment on 22 July 2010 regarding the Placing and Rights Issue to raise approximately £100.2m and in accordance with the Prospectus published that day, admission of both the New Shares, nil paid, and the Placing Shares to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange main market for listed securities became effective and that dealings commenced at 8.00 a.m. today. The latest time and date for acceptance and payment in full under the Rights Issue is 11.00 a.m. on 11 August 2010.

The New Shares, nil paid, with ISIN GB00B4KYDB12 and the Placing Shares with ISIN GB00B40YYX09 rank pari passu in all respects with the Existing Shares including the right to receive all dividends and other distributions (if any) declared, paid or made by Development Securities after 22 July 2010 being the date of the Prospectus, save for the interim dividend declared on 22 July 2010.

As at today's date, Development Securities has in issue 122,352,504 Ordinary Shares, each carrying the right to one vote per share. There are no shares held in treasury.

The total voting rights figure of 122,352,504 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine whether they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Development Securities under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
