IQE PLC04 April 2006 IQE plc ("the Company") Additional Listing / Director's Shareholding Application has today been made to the London Stock Exchange for 163,721ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") to be admitted totrading on AIM. These Ordinary Shares are being issued to satisfy payment of twonon-executive director's fees for the first quarter of 2006. Of these Ordinary Shares, 125,377 are being issued to Dr G.H.H. Ainsworth insettlement of his Chairman's fees for the first quarter of 2006, representingapproximately 0.04 per cent. of the existing issued share capital of theCompany. Following this issue Dr G.H.H. Ainsworth will be interested in2,608,265 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 0.82 per cent. of theCompany's issued share capital.
