Sainsbury(J) PLC03 March 2008 J Sainsbury plc ("the Company") -------------------------------- Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the LondonStock Exchange plc for a total of 8,000,000 Ordinary shares of 28 4/7p each("shares") to be admitted to the Official List. It is expected that permission will be granted on 5 March 2008 and admission totrading will commence on 6 March 2008.
