Smith & Nephew plc - Application for Blocklisting

An application has been made to The UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange for a block listing of 1,000,000 Ordinary shares of US$0.20 each, to trade on the London Stock Exchange's main market and to be admitted to the Official List upon issuance.

These shares will be issued pursuant to the Smith & Nephew UK Employee Share Option Plan. They will rank pari passu with the existing issued shares of the Company.
