Sainsbury(J) PLC10 November 2005 J Sainsbury plc ("the Company") -------------------------------- Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the LondonStock Exchange plc for a total of 5,000,000 Ordinary shares of 28 4/7p each("shares") to be admitted to the Official List. It is expected that permission will be granted on 14 November 2005 and admissionto trading will commence on on 15 November 2005.
