Standard Life plc ('the Company')

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange for 191,597 ordinary shares of 10 pence each to be admitted to the Official List.

These shares are being issued as a result of the exercise of share awards under the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan.

They will rank equally with the existing issued ordinary shares of the Company.
