Additional Listing - Blocklisting of Securities

COATS GROUP PLC

(the "Company")

BLOCK LISTING

Application has been made to the Financial Conduct Authority and the London Stock Exchange for a block listing of 12,093,750 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") for issue under the Guinness Peat Group 2002 Executive Share Option Scheme to be admitted to the Official List and to trading upon issue. It is expected that admission of the Ordinary Shares will become effective on the 10 January 2017.

The new Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu with the existing issued Ordinary Shares of the Company.
