Additional Listing

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange for a Block Listing totalling 500,000 ordinary shares of 12 2/9 pence each in Standard Life plc ('the Company') to trade on the London Stock Exchange and to be admitted to the Official List.

The Block Listing consists of 100,000 shares to be issued under the Standard Life Sharesave Plan and 400,000 shares to be issued under the Standard Life (Employee) Share Plan.

When issued, these shares will rank equally with the existing ordinary shares of the Company.

It is expected that admission will commence on or shortly after 14 March 2016.
