Block Listing Application

Hammerson plc (the "Company") has made an application to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange Plc for a block listing of 500,000 ordinary shares of £0.25 each to trade on the London Stock Exchange and to be admitted to the Official List. These shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares of the Company.

These shares will be issued pursuant to the Company's Savings-related Share Option Scheme.

These shares are expected to be admitted to The Official List and to trading on The London Stock Exchange on 30 April 2012.
