Frontera Resources Announces Addition Of New Funding

FRONTERA RESOURCES CORPORATION

("FRONTERA" OR THE "COMPANY")

Houston, Texas, U.S.A. - 9 October 2014

Frontera Resources Corporation (London Stock Exchange, AIM Market - Symbol: FRR), an independent oil and gas exploration and production company, today announced that it has, subject to certain conditions, successfully completed an equity fund raising initiative that will support ongoing operations as described in the Company's 9 July 2014 and 15 September 2014 announcements. Gross proceeds of GBP 1,950,200 have been raised through a placing (the "Placing") by Daniel Stewart & Company Plc of 195,020,000 new ordinary shares of US$0.00004 each in the Company (the "Placing Shares") at a price of GBP 0.01 per share. The Placing Shares will represent approximately 6.91% of the enlarged issued share capital of the Company. The equity fund raising is subject to admission of the Placing Shares to trading on AIM ("Admission"). Application will be made for Admission and it is expected that Admission will become effective at 8.00 a.m. on 29 October 2014. Following Admission, the Company will have 2,820,845,197 ordinary shares in issue with voting rights. The Placing Shares will rank pari passu in all respects with existing ordinary shares of the Company. The aforementioned figure of 2,820,845,197 ordinary shares may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company, under the disclosure requirements applicable to the Company.
