4 Mar 2008 G4S plc Acquisition of Rock Steady Group of companies
G4S plc, the international security solutions group, announces the acquisition of the Rock Steady Group of companies (which includes Rock Steady Security Ltd, Rock Steady Event Services Ltd, Avant-Guard Resource Services Ltd and Rock Steady Sports Events Services Ltd) from, its founding shareholder, Mr Mark Hamilton and others.
The Rock Steady group is the leading provider of security, stewarding and crowd management services to event organisations in the UK.
Specialising in stewarding and crowd management for live music and sport stadium events, Rock Steady provides security services for a number of high profile customers including Glasgow Rangers Football Club, Scottish Rugby Union, Sheffield Arena and Lancashire County Cricket Club.
In its last financial year, the Rock Steady Group reported turnover of ‚£12.2 million. The acquisition will enable G4S to expand further its current events capability into the live music and sports stadium areas as well as provided coverage in the North of England and Scotland.
The Rock Steady Group has gross assets of ‚£5.3 million.
