NEWS RELEASEGKN plc5 September 2011 GKN completes acquisition of Stromag Holding GmbH

GKN plc confirms that the acquisition of Stromag Holding GmbH (Stromag), announced on 18 July 2011, completed today.

Stromag will be integrated into the GKN Land Systems Power Management Division. The acquisition is an important step in the implementation of GKN Land Systems' strategy to become a global leader in Industrial Power Management and will provide a platform for growth in existing markets together with access to a number of new and attractive industrial segments including renewable energy.

GKN welcomes the entire Stromag team into the GKN family and we look forward to an exciting future combining our world class capabilities.
