AMEC PLC16 December 2005 16 December 2005 AMEC plc Multitechnical Regional Services acquisition AMEC plc, the international project management and services company, announcesthe acquisition of the assets of French heating, ventilation and airconditioning services business Domec SA and the purchase of a 37 per cent equitystake in its subsidiary, Domec Dax SARL, for a combined total of €650,000(£440,000). Domec and its subsidiary have a total of 60 employees, working from two officesin the Aquitaine region and had a combined turnover of €11 million (£7.4million) in the year ended 31 December 2004. The acquisition is in line with AMEC SPIE's strategy of expanding itsMultitechnical Regional Services network of over 300 locations in ContinentalEurope through in-fill acquisitions. It follows the addition of electricalinstallations company JAVALET SAS, electrical engineering firm PK SAS, ITmanagement company FAST Maintenance Informatique SA and 49% of nuclearengineering business Game Nucleaire SAS earlier in 2005.
