Aberdeen Asset Management PLC01 June 2007 Aberdeen Asset Management PLC Acquisition of certain Australian fund management businesses of Deutsche Bank Aberdeen Asset Management PLC ("Aberdeen") is pleased to announce that it hascompleted the acquisition of certain Australian fund management businesses fromDeutsche Australia Limited and that the transfer of the businesses will beeffective at close of business today, 1 June 2007. Aberdeen has paid initial consideration of AU$116 million (approximately £48million), based on estimated assets under management of AU$11.5 billion(approximately £4.75 billion) transferring to Aberdeen's management. Theseassets comprise AU$8.5 billion of segregated client mandates and AU$3.0 billionof unit trust assets. The consideration remains subject to certain adjustmentsto be reflected once the value of assets under management has been confirmed.
