AMEC PLC31 March 2006 31 March 2006 AMEC plc Multitechnical Regional Services acquisition AMEC plc, the international project management and services company, announcesthe acquisition of the QUERCUS Group's specialised maintenance and mechanicalservices division comprising five companies. C TRAM SA, PERMI SA, EUROSEPT SAS, GAMI Services SAS and ANDRE SAS togetheremploy 180 people, generated revenue of €11.7 million (£8.1m million) in 2005and had net asset value of €2.48 million (£1.7 million) at 31 December 2005. This acquisition expands AMEC SPIE's regional network around Lyon and the Alps in line with the strategy of expanding its multitechnical regional services network of over 300 locations. It is the first acquisition in 2006 and follows the addition of heating, ventilation and air conditioning services business Domec SA, electrical installations company JAVALET SAS, electrical engineering firm PK SAS, IT management company FAST Maintenance Informatique SA and 49% of nuclear engineering business Game Nucleaire SAS in 2005.
