UMC Energy PLC22 December 2006 UMC ENERGY PLC ("UMC" or "the Company") 22 December 2006 ACQUISITION OF 80% INTEREST IN URANIUM EXPLORATION PROPERTIES IN MADAGASCAR The Board of UMC Energy plc (AIM : UEP) announces that, further to itsannouncement dated 26 September 2006, the conditions to closing as set out inthe share purchase agreement with Cline Mining Corporation of Canada ("Cline")have now been fulfilled. Accordingly, the directors have authorised the allotment to Cline of 12,272,667ordinary shares in the Company, which constitutes 40% of the Company's enlargedshare capital of 30,681,668 ordinary shares.
