AMEC acquires front-end, subsea and technical consulting capability in Australia

AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, announces today that it has acquired a majority shareholding in S2V Consulting Pty Ltd (S2V Consulting), a leading consultancy to the oil and gas industry with gross assets of AU$1.5 million, to form a new partnership in Australia.

S2V Consulting provides front-end consulting services including field development planning, conceptual screening and project assurance. It also offers specialist technical consulting throughout the project life-cycle such as subsea, pipelines, technical safety and risk and environmental services. S2V Consulting has some 100 technical staff and is headquartered in Perth, Australia.

The new venture is aligned with AMEC's Vision 2015 strategy of assured growth, through a strengthened geographic footprint and enhanced capabilities in key sectors, and will grow the company's front-end and subsea capabilities in the Asia Pacific region and beyond.
