Bloomsbury Publishing PLC04 January 2005 4 January 2005 Bloomsbury Publishing Plc ("Bloomsbury") Completion of acquisition of Walker Publishing Bloomsbury Publishing Plc announces that the acquisition of Walker PublishingCompany, Inc, which was announced on 22nd December 2004, completed on 31December 2004. As a result 49,130 new Bloomsbury ordinary shares were issued tosatisfy the non-cash consideration payable on completion. Application will be made for the new ordinary shares to be admitted to theOfficial List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London StockExchange's market for listed securities. It is expected that admission will takeplace no later than 11 January 2005. The new ordinary shares will rank paripassu with the existing issued ordinary shares.
