Dairy Crest Group PLC26 October 2006 26 October 2006Dairy Crest Group plc ("Dairy Crest") Acquisition of Express Dairies cleared by Office of Fair Trading Dairy Crest notes the announcement today by the Office of Fair Trading ("OFT") of its decision to clear the acquisition of Express Dairies. Dairy Crest had previously agreed "hold separate" undertakings with the OFT in respect of the acquisition. These undertakings have now lapsed and Dairy Crest is able to commence the integration of this business. The acquisition creates the UK's leading doorstep and middle ground business and is expected to be highly earnings accretive. Significant synergies will be delivered from the acquisition which are still anticipated to peak at around £9.0 million in 2008/09.
