Acquisition Completion Update

13 September 2012: Further to the announcements issued by United Drug plc ("UD" or the "Group") on 26 July 2012 and 31 August 2012, the Group confirms that regulatory clearances, for the acquisition of Pharmexx GmbH, have now been received from the Spanish and Portuguese competition authorities. This allows UD to assume control over all parts of Pharmexx not subject to ongoing competition clearance. The formal completion of the transaction will occur once clearance has been given by the Irish Competition Authority.
