AMEC PLC28 October 2005 28 October 2005 AMEC plc Acquisition AMEC acquires French nuclear services company CIME SA London, United Kingdom (28 October 2005) - AMEC plc, the international projectmanagement and services company, announces the acquisition of CompagnieIndustrielle de Montage et d'Entretien SA ("CIME"), a French nuclear technicalservices company with net assets of €700,000 (£475,000). CIME SA is based near Nimes in south east France and has 160 employees. Itgenerated turnover of €8.5 million (£5.8 million) for the year ended 30 June2005. The purchase of CIME is in line with AMEC's strategy of expanding its EuropeanMultitechnical Services business through in-fill acquisitions. It extends AMEC'snuclear services capability in France and follows the acquisition of 49 per centof nuclear engineering company Game Nucleaire SAS in April 2005.
