Completion of acquisition of Blakeley's Recycling Ltd

Biffa plc, a leading UK integrated waste management company, announces that on 1 November 2016 it completed the acquisition of the business and assets of Blakeley's Recycling Ltd.

With this acquisition, the Company significantly enhances its waste collection and processing business in the North West of England. Blakeley's Recycling Ltd operates from a large, modern and well positioned facility, carrying out waste collection services for over 3,500 customers. The business, including the collection depot and processing facility will be fully integrated into Biffa's Industrial and Commercial Division, and has targeted annual revenue of £7m.

The Company acquired Blakeley's Recycling Ltd for a cash consideration of £2.6 million and assumed finance leases of £2.4 million.
