Wincanton PLC04 March 2008 For immediate release 4 March 2008 Wincanton plc Acquisition strengthens German High-Tech logistics operations Wincanton plc ("Wincanton" or the "Group"), the leading European supply chainsolutions provider, today announces the acquisition of HeBo GmbH ("HeBo"), aspecialist provider of logistics services to the High-Tech industry in the NorthRhine-Westfalia region. The acquisition is the latest in a series of in-fill acquisitions in the UK andmainland Europe that are developing the Group's profitability, broadening itsbusiness base and generating incremental opportunity for medium and longer-termgrowth. This acquisition enhances the service capability of Wincanton'sHigh-Tech logistics activities and reinforces its position as a leading operatorin this specialist sector in Germany. HeBo, based in Dusseldorf, Germany, is being acquired for an initial debt-freeconsideration of €2.9m. A further €0.5m may be payable subject to the financialperformance of HeBo in the year to 31 March 2009. HeBo employs approximately 50people and, in the year to 31 December 2007, reported, on a pro-forma basis,turnover of approximately €3.2m, EBITDA of €0.5m and EBIT of €0.4m.
