Thomson Intermedia PLC14 June 2005 Thomson Intermedia secures exclusive access to Northcliffe and Johnston Pressregional portfolios Thomson Intermedia, a leading provider of media intelligence, has securedseparate deals with Northcliffe Newspaper Group ("Northcliffe") and JohnstonPress plc ("Johnston") to access at least 350 regional publications. Both dealsrun for three years, are exclusive to Thomson Intermedia and together willsignificantly enhance the Company's coverage of the UK's regional newspapers. Thomson Intermedia is driving the development of information systems thatprovide critical data and transparency to the marketing industry. The Companyhas developed a revolutionary system that captures some 20,000 advertisementplacements daily, across every media platform. Thomson Intermedia's PressMonitoring and Advertising Verification services enable advertisers to verifywhether advertisements have run, recover lost advertising spend and analysecompetitor marketing activity. These two strategically important deals with major UK media groups will enableThomson to enhance significantly its Press Monitoring and AdvertisingVerification services by adding some 30% of the UK's regional newspapers to itsextensive media monitoring capabilities. Thomson Intermedia, Northcliffe andJohnston Press are together working to provide greater insight and efficiencywithin the regional press advertising market. These contract wins will place Thomson Intermedia at the forefront of mediamonitoring, being the only Company to provide comprehensive, real time andin-depth analysis of the UK Advertising market place.
