With coverage of over 80 percent of the population of the Czech Republic,Telefonica O2 Czech Republic's wireless broadband Internet service providedthrough CDMA technology continues to grow in popularity. The number ofsubscribers has increased by approximately 20 thousand (29%) during the firstnine months of this year and shows no signs of slowing as Telefonica O2incorporates CDMA into its fixed mobile convergence strategy. As of October 2, 2006, launched the Czech Republic's first fixed and mobilebroadband convergence service offering customers aDSL and CDMA connectivity withits new Internet Komplet service. Internet Komplet combines unlimited aDSLbroadband connectivity with the extension of mobile broadband provided by CDMAtechnology at speeds of up to 512 kb/s and twenty free hours of connectivity permonth. After a customer has up the free hours of their mobile connection, thecustomer can simply order more time blocks online. Internet Komplet also offersa single sign on in which the customer's respective login name and passwordremains the same for accessing both connections. With their accounts, customerscan also access the largest network of WiFi Hot-Spots in the Czech Republic atno additional charge. For a limited time, subsidized modems for both types of connection, and serviceactivation costs are offered at only one koruna.
