Rockhopper Exploration plc17 December 2007 Press Release 17 December 2007 Rockhopper Exploration ("Rockhopper") Rockhopper commissions additional 2D seismic survey Rockhopper Exploration, the North Falkland Basin oil and gas explorationcompany, is pleased to announce that, following the recently completed Ernestsite survey, Wavefield Inseis is to acquire additional 2D seismic over theWeddell prospect and other targets, focusing in the south east of licence PL024. The Weddell prospect, which is located near the Islands in less than 150m ofwater, has been mapped on existing 2D and has an unrisked P50 of 254 millionbarrels of recoverable oil. This survey will allow Rockhopper to refine themapping and to begin to prepare the target for possible drilling.
