PRE-EARNINGS GUIDANCE FOR 3Q 2020

(UNAUDITED OPERATING STATISTICS)

LG Electronics Inc. (the ''Company'') is pleased to announce certain unaudited operating statistics of the Company and its subsidiaries (the ''Group'') for the third quarter of 2020 as follows.

In the third quarter of 2020, the Group's consolidated sales amounted to KRW 16,919.6 billion (as compared to KRW 12,833.8 billion in 2020.2Q and KRW 15,700.7 billion in 2019.3Q), representing a quarter-on-quarter increase of 31.8% (QoQ 31.8%) and a year-on-year increase of 7.8% (YoY 7.8%).

The Group's consolidated operating income amounted to KRW 959.0 billion (as compared to KRW 495.4 billion in 2020.2Q and KRW 781.4 billion in 2019.3Q), representing a quarter-on-quarter increase of 93.6% (QoQ 93.6%) and a year-on-year increase of 22.7% (YoY 22.7%).
