CRH PLC23 October 2007 CRH plc ("the Company") 23rd October 2007 2007 INTERIM DIVIDEND - SCRIP ALTERNATIVE CRH plc announces that, under the Company's Scrip Dividend Scheme, 31.56% of itsOrdinary Shareholders elected to receive shares in lieu of cash in respect ofall or part of their Interim Dividend for 2007 to be paid on 2nd November 2007. As a result, a total of 347,752 Ordinary Shares of €0.32 each have beenallotted. An application will be made for admission of the New Shares to theOfficial Lists of the Irish Stock Exchange and the U.K. Listing Authority and totrading on the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities. Dealing inthe New Shares is expected to commence on Friday, 2nd November 2007.
