CRH PLC24 October 2006 CRH plc ("the Company") 24th October 2006 2006 INTERIM DIVIDEND - SCRIP ALTERNATIVE CRH plc announces that, under the Company's Scrip Dividend Scheme, 31.55% of itsOrdinary Shareholders elected to receive shares in lieu of cash in respect ofall or part of their Interim Dividend for 2006 to be paid on 3rd November 2006. As a result, a total of 381,691 Ordinary Shares of €0.32 each have beenallotted. An application will be made for admission of the New Shares to theOfficial Lists of the Irish Stock Exchange and the U.K. Listing Authority and totrading on the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities. Dealing inthe New Shares is expected to commence on Friday, 3rd November 2006.
